What does it mean when a guy tells you to "Tie their shoes" or "Tie their shoelaces" randomly?

I was talking with a guy I sorta like, but I don't think he likes me back, and when I was talking to him he randomly told me to tie his shoes, although his shoes looked tied to me.(He was wearing boots.)
