My boyfriend still has daily contact with his ex wife and even sends money to her on a regular basis,?

My boyfriend and i have been together for 2 years now. He is from another country than myself. When we first met, we really connected, but i realized that something about all his stories didnt jive. He told me about many things, but these stories always changed. Then , after numerous times in catching him in lies, I faced him with it . I then realized that he was a compulsive liar and had some serious issues. Last weekend, while i was putting things away, i found his bank book, i looked inside and realized that he was sending money , fair amounts , overseas to his ex wife. I was shocked. We were looking for a new place to move into together and now the money that he was saving was gone to her. They dont have young children, the children are grown and are financially capable of taking care of themselves. So I asked him if he was sending money. He told me no. He then proceeded to fabricate this amazing story and had me believing it all. He tells me all the time that he loves me and that i am the only one that makes him happy. Unfortunately, since he is a compulsive liar, i cannot believe him. I am just part of his compulsion to lie. I stood up to him today and told him i could not take anymore of this, that he needs to return to her because his actions show, in many ways, silently, that he still cares for her. I feel like i am always begging for things from him, maybe a surprise, a card, a trip to the shopping mall. but now i realize that the reason why is because he is sending her a lot of his money and cannot afford to do for me. He tells me that he will never let anyone else be with me. Idel threats just to keep me giving the attention to his disease. I feel like i am enabling his lying , and this is like a cheap thrill for him.
