Should I apply for a job in Florida?

My 16 year old son is going to study in USA, Florida at an aviation school. We both live in the United Kingdom with UK citizenship. As his only legal guardian I want to be with him in Florida. As a Secretary, do you think I have a chance to find a job in Florida?
